13. V-Silhouette with Disconnected Ends. Textured waves provide a lot of volume and dimension. Don’t be afraid to add a messy touch to these gorgeous beachy waves.

Being a stylish way to trim your tresses, texturizing brings volume and makes thin locks look fuller. Maintaining a mid-back, waist- or hip-length mane is not always a breeze. If you want to alleviate your hair care, layered haircuts for long hair are the best way to go. They are always ready to shine without too much styling.

Here are the 50 lovely ideas for your crowning glory. These will serve as your ultimate reference whenever you want to sport a new hairdo this year.

1. Bra Strap Length with Flipped-Up Pieces. Flyaway hair? Split ends? Take the butterfly look to the extreme to combat all your problems in a stylish way.

2. Waist-Length Feathered Shag. If you’re into gorgeous waist-length looks, you’ve got plenty of options. To add texture, consider feathering at different lengths – just imagine them bouncing with every step of yours.

3. Mid-Back Textured Waves. Upgrade your mane this year with a new style. Simply let your hairstylist introduce some choppy pieces to shape up those voluminous tresses.

4. U-Shape Downdo with Textured Bottom. Feathering works equally well for thick and thin locks, but the final looks can be very different!

5. Chunky Waist-Length Locks with Balayage. The biggest trend today is adding texture to the bottom. Add some flattering highlights and just curl the ends.

6. Full Piece-y Ends for Coarse Hair. A good hairdresser can make both thin and thick strands look amazing. Curl the ends of your hair to add movement, depth, and volume, and your thick mane will get light and dynamic.

7. Flared Butterfly Shag. A very romantic and classy downdo for the true ladies looking for chic looks. The U-shape brings density and thickness to your mane, while the beautiful chocolate brown color will make everyone’s mouth water.

8. Waist-Length Feathered Highlighted Shag. If you want to add some volume to your downdo for a special occasion, comb your hair back and shape light waves for a classy, wind-swept look.

9. Chunky Pieces for Waist-Length Mane. Thick locks will only benefit from swoopy pieces. Such a downdo makes the natural flow of your mane softer and even more visually attractive.

10. Luxuriant Feathered Shag. With lots of messy feathered ends and a golden blonde balayage, this shag looks lightweight and free-spirited while retaining depth around the crown and showing dimension throughout the length.

11. Mid-Back U-Shape Butterfly Coif. Gray strands with highlights and lowlights is a heaven of textures. To make yours look even more mesmerizing, ask your stylist to add some swoopy butterfly pieces.

12. Voluminous Below-the-Shoulders Blowout. Do you like flipped-up ends? You can easily get this detail with the help of a round brush and hairdryer. Find an extra-large round brush and hold it in place until your hair sets after drying.

13. V-Silhouette with Disconnected Ends. Textured waves provide a lot of volume and dimension. Don’t be afraid to add a messy touch to these gorgeous beachy waves.

14. Mid-Shaft Swoopy Pieces and Highlights. If you are craving a fresh downdo, these voluminous highlighted flips might be what you are searching for. Experiment with different colors for the best result.

15. Full Flowy U-Shape. A mix of chestnut, honey, and bronze hues is just a part of this hair success. The thick textured mane with neat flows is what makes the style simply stunning.

16. Tiered Flipped-Up Bottom. Do you know this feeling when you want it straight and curly at the same time, and you can’t decide how to style your locks today? This downdo is the perfect example of 2 in 1, where the sleek straight length meets flipped-up feathered ends.

17. Waist-Length Thick Chocolate Shag. Do you want to opt for a statement shag with bangs, and these bangs must blend with face-framing pieces? Here is a perfect option for you! The choppiness looks carefree and stylish. Not to mention the trendy side bangs that complement the overall look.

18. V-Shape with Butterfly Contouring. If you are looking for something to spice up your natural hair color, you can explore the benefits of the V-look. It is a rather unusual solution that feels great whether the hair is loose or in a ponytail!

19. Disheveled Two-Tier Downdo. The shattered U-shape silhouette is another classy look. Finish it with swoopy choppy pieces for some extra zest.

20. Airy Shag with Flared Bottom. Wispy ends are the stylists’ go-to solution for an easy-to-maintain versatile look. It’s one of the semi-shags for women that give you so much space for experiments – just use your imagination and a hairdryer.

21. Subtle Face-Framing and Textured Bottom. If you want to reshape your face without a surgery, go for a tousled downdo with subtle front feathers as pictured here. Soft face-framing plus the right blowout will do the trick.

22. Soft Sliced Ends for Straight Strands. This style is the golden standard for thick straight strands. So, if you love classic looks, this is your top pick. Combine with soft highlights to add texture!

23. Three-Tier Waist-Length Mane. Many girls dream about waist-length locks, but not everyone can achieve it. If you can’t grow it due to breakage or split ends, no worries – just make tiers and trim your strands every now and then, and they’ll look awesome without sacrificing the length!

24. Dark Brown Shag with Bangs. Ask your stylist to trim your side bangs in a face-framing technique to emphasize your facial features in every angle.

25. Below-the-Shoulders Textured Look. The shag is one of the most popular solutions for full manes. And, if shagginess alone is not enough to inspire you, add some bright highlights or soft babylights.

27. Brunette Look with Definition. Sharp scissors in the professional hands can totally transform straight tresses by filling them with texture and bounce, and this picture-perfect style lives up to the task, also adding a flattering frame for the face.

28. Boho-Style Bedhead. Below-the-shoulders shags can look graceful or like a hot mess! If you want a downdo that ticks both boxes, get softly textured pieces and style them to fit the occasion.

29. Universally Flattering Choppy Pieces. Whether your mane is sleek or wavy, giving it a chop is a decision you won’t regret. After all, a piece-y shag can instantly deliver you the mane of your dream.

30. Waist-Length Waves with Light Brown Streaks. Wavy locks are very feminine. Natural or styled, they thrive with the right shape and textured job. Finish it with a subtle balayage.

31. Neat Shag with Body Wave. This version doesn’t look shaggy because it opts for fewer pieces, and they start in the lower part to remove bulk from the ends and release natural movement.

32. Butter Blonde Sliced Mane. What we see here? Amazing blonde! Reaching the lower back and sliced, multidimensional and feminine. Even thin tresses will benefit from getting such a finish.

33. Straight Locks with Textured Ends. If you do want to spice up your look with modern shagginess, you can combine short pieces in the front with thinned-out ends all around the perimeter.

34. Blonde Bombshell Blowout. All sorts of butterfly crops are probably among the most requested styles nowadays, and this lavish blowout with stunning volume around the face and mesmerizing waves cascading toward the bottom explains their mega popularity.

35. Soft Feathery Blonde Balayage. Go for some feathering to keep your mane beautiful and healthy. Soft blonde highlights complete the look.

36. Fluffy Locks with Golden Ombre. Fluffy hair is another trend to incorporate into free-flowing looks, especially when you can enhance the feel of fluffiness by placing high-contrast highlights towards the ends and arrive at a striking ombre.

37. Graduation towards the Bottom. These platinum blonde tresses look dreamy and airy with the feathered and graduated finishes in the lower part to bring out movement.

38. Straight Strands with Flipped-Up Ends. Want to have a fabulous hairdo, but have no time for regular visits to your hairdresser? This is one of the simplest yet elegant choices, straight at the top and slightly curled at the ends.

39. Reddish Brown Graduated Look with Bangs. Apart from making the porcelain skin pop against the reddish hue, this downdo perfectly combines the cheekbone-hitting bangs with the graduation starting at the chin.

40. Mid-Back Locks with Subtly Curled Ends. Who says a choppy finish is boring? Match it with a brown and blonde balayage for a cute hairdo.

41. Polished Flowy Coif. Although it’s not the choppiest look among available in our review, it clearly illustrates how the placement of tiers and the distance between them can make your coif more polished.

42. Waist-Length Soft Feathered Shag. While a touchable mane is the envy of every girl, it may look bulky and shapeless if not handled properly, which is not the case here, thanks to the long weight-removing scissors job.

43. Half-Curled Coif with Golden-Beige Balayage. Voluminous golden waves and curls are a stylish way to disguise your thin strands.

44. Thick V-Shape Downdo. Embrace your natural red color. Emphasize it with a V-silhouette and mid-shaft texture.

45. Angled Chocolate Pieces with Caramel Balayage. Take the hair texturizing to a higher level – literally. Throw in some shorter pieces along with textured ends. Enrich it with caramel highlights.

46. Bouncy Look with Flipped-Up Ends. If you are searching for long coifs with tons of bounce and movement, focus on the lower part and ask for short pieces with flipped-up ends.

47. Face-Framing with Money Piece. When sorting out inspiring looks just before your next visit to a salon, do not forget to give proper attention to their color scheme, as a bit of coloring can elevate your textured job easily.

48. Midshaft Waves with Discreet Balayage. You can do a lot of coifs for a straight mane. You may curl it, make wavy, tie it in all possible kinds of buns and ponytails. Don’t let anyone persuade you to crop it, even if it’s trendy right now! If you need a change, you can always do another type of balayage or update the silhouette.

49. Waist-Length Fine Strands with Balayage. Feathers and highlights seem to be made for each other. Due to the number of their variations, you will definitely find a perfect match for yourself! For instance, honey highlights and long wispy pieces go together very well.

50. Blowout with Cascade of Flips. Life can be busy, so why not get an easy-to-maintain hairdo with piece-y flips? Besides, it is a nice choice if you are not sure whether you want to be a girl with curly or straight hair. Get this coif as the golden middle!

We hope you have found your ideal look in our list of gorgeous textured downdos with refined color schemes. So, next time you head to a salon, request some added texture for a change this year.

Nice to see some long hairstyles for ladies at last I’m afraid long hair in general is much more attractive than short at least in its appeal to members of the opposite sex

Lovely to see such lovely long hair with varied styles How anyone can think short hair is more attractive than long on a woman has always been completely beyond me anyway but these styles have a practical as well as aesthetic side. L aura my good lady is 51 has straight hair below her waist refuses to cut it and she and it look lovely. I would be the last person to want her to cut it but maybe looking at these styles might interest her as she could keep all the gorgeous length but alter it a little? Then we just have to avoid what I know she dreads…a scissor happy stylist!!
